Torino defeated Empoli 1-3 in the Italian Campionato Nazionale U18 thanks to Ghanaian winger Herbert Ansah’s brace.

In the 65th minute, the 17-year-old went on a solo run to beat two defenders and strike the ball home for his 11th goal of the season for Torino.

His second goal came in the 90th minute as a result of a penalty awarded after teammate Matteo Bonelli was fouled in the Empoli box.

Ansah chose to take the penalty and smashed the ball into the bottom right corner. Bringing his U18 league goal tally to 12 in 20 appearances.

Ansah played 20 minutes for Torino’s U19 team in the Primavera 1 division last Sunday, as they defeated Hellas Verona 2-1 at home.

Ansah is expected to play for Torino’s U19 team this afternoon when they travel to Cagliari for matchday 28 of the Primavera division.
