In a tweet last night, the young striker posted images from the game and captioned it ‘The Joy of Victory‘ to express his joy at this great achievement.
The Ghanaian striker who joined Cremonese in August 2022 from AS Roma had been unable to put his name on any goal for his new club until last night when he chested the ball into the net after Buonaiuto hits the crossbar with a free kick.
Afena-Gyan came on the pitch as a replacement for Tommaso Milanese at the 22′ minute and was able to make the mark at the 39′ minute.
