It was a dream come true last night for Italian born Ghanaian right-back Mike Aidoo, who made his first team appearance for serie A champions Inter in their 2-0 victory at home to Udinese in the Coppa Italia

Mike Aidoo was introduced by manager Simone Inzaghi to replace Darmain in the 88th minute at San Siro with the crowd cheering for one of their product from the juvenile team.

The 19 year-old had been biding his time since last season when he started training with the senior side. Last summer, Mike had the opportunity to experience his first pre-season tour with the senior team. Confirming the manager’s confidence in his potential.

This season, Aidoo has been on the bench twice for Inter. First, in their champions league match against Young Boys in Switzerland and second, the Serie A game against Fiorentina in Florence.

His debut against Udinese last night excited Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, who showed his joy by sharing the club’s post on his Instagram story with the caption ” First match wearing these colors”

Mike Aidoo will be in action this Saturday when Inter’s U20 take on Roma U20 at 11 am. The right back has featured in 14 of 16 games in the youth division with two assists to his credit.
