The AS Roma forward connected to Gideon Mensah’s ball to give Ghana a second goal at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Two minutes later after Kudus’ strike, Afena-Gyan poked home from close range in the 56th minute to give the Black Stars a deserved cushion against the Barea at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Afena-Gyan was substituted in the 75th minute for Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo. He made his debut for Ghana against Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoffs back in March. The promising youngster played a role as the Black Stars booked a ticket to the global showpiece in Qatar.

The 19-year-old is expected to lead the lines when the Black Stars of Ghana hosts Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday evening.
